My blog, “A Road Paved with Good Intentions,” recently posted on the  Columbia II Writers' blog, was voted the favorite post for July. Our group of writers, usually 8 to 12 at any one meeting, selects one blog per month to submit to the state organization for publication. "A Road..." will be published on the South Carolina Writers Association blog at their discretion. I'm especially honored. Our group includes a number of discerning writers and critics. 

"Sticks and stones may break my bones," so the saying goes. But in today's hyper-political climate, you better believe words can hurt you.
