SHORT STORY PUBLISHED
I began to enjoy fiction in the fifth grade at Pelion School when Miss Elsie Hook read chapter novels to our class after recess. It was the moment when I realized school could be enjoyable.
In college, after a tryst with nursing, I worked toward a degree in English education, graduated, and taught school. My experience teaching reflected my temperament. The good years were very good and the not-so-good years were, well, not-so-good.
I spend most of my time writing historical fiction. Let me restate that— working on historical fiction, for researching background takes a chunk of time. I write poetry, mostly because I love words and like to mess with their meanings.
