cancellation and upcoming

WASHED OUT BY THE FORECAST

Sumter's Art in the Park was cancelled due to the weather forecast. Rain and winds, the midweek news, but by Saturday morning, the forecast had changed to 59% chance of thunderstorms. It was a nice day after all. Too bad, but outdoor events are dependent on not only good weather but forecasts for good weather.

SUMMERVILLE FAIR ON THE SQUARE

My upcoming appearance is next weekend (April 29), which also includes outdoor events. My fingers are crossed! Indie Bookstore Day will be celebrated in Summerville, SC, with Fair on the Square.

The local bookstore, Main Street Reads, has organized events such as a book-signing tent, guitar music, open mic for writers & poets, and a roster of panel discussions by writers –such as ME ! I’ll be one of three writers discussing “History’s Mysteries” scheduled on stage for 12:45 PM-1:30 PM. With me on the panel will be Cheryl Oliver and Kim Poovey.

Let's hope 1) the forecast is fair weather; and 2) the forecast is fairly accurate.
