ART IN THE YARD
What a day last Sunday was for a stroll around Melrose Park! Thunder showers had been forecast but not a drop of rain fell, which was good because we forgot the canvas cover for our tent. Sunshine and 70 degrees. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Our set-up in the yard of hosts Heather and Uel was ideal. Their house, which was on the Historic Columbia’s House Tour, brought traffic throughout the event.
Had a fun “Literacy Test” game and those who participated proved themselves “literate.” Gave away a book as a prize. Met other writers (and writer hopefuls) with questions. I have no answers, just opinions.
Next Weekend, SATURDAY, APRIL 22
I’ll be in Sumter, SC, for its annual Art in the Park held 9 am til 4 pm at Memorial Park.
